Terms of Service

Welcome to BurgundyBlend. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BurgundyBlend mobile application, website at burgundyblend.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using BurgundyBlend, you agree to these Terms.

Our service

BurgundyBlend is a two-sided marketplace that connects customers with independent beauty professionals and businesses across Canada. We provide the platform for discovery, booking, and deposit collection — we are not the provider of beauty services listed on the app.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Bookings and deposits

When you book through BurgundyBlend, you enter into a service agreement directly with the business you select. A deposit may be required to confirm your appointment. Deposits are applied toward your total service cost unless otherwise stated at booking.

Payment of any remaining balance is typically handled between you and the business at the time of service, as shown in the app. BurgundyBlend facilitates deposit collection but is not responsible for the quality, safety, or delivery of services performed by listed businesses.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund policies may vary by business. Review appointment details before confirming. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of your deposit according to the business's stated policy. Contact the business or our support team if you have a dispute.

For businesses

If you list your business on BurgundyBlend, you agree to:

• Provide accurate service descriptions, pricing, and availability
• Honour confirmed bookings and communicate promptly with customers
• Complete payout setup to receive deposits and eligible payments
• Comply with applicable laws, licensing, and professional standards in your jurisdiction
• Not misuse the platform for fraudulent, misleading, or harmful activity

We reserve the right to suspend or remove business listings that violate these Terms or harm the BurgundyBlend community.

User conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or businesses
• Post false reviews or misleading content
• Attempt to circumvent our payment or booking systems
• Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the platform without permission

Intellectual property

BurgundyBlend and its branding, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not use our trademarks or content without written permission. Businesses retain ownership of their own photos and listings but grant us a license to display them on the platform.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the conduct of any user or business on the platform.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BurgundyBlend shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or any booking arranged through the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Service quality and complaints

BurgundyBlend is a marketplace that connects customers with independent beauty professionals. We do not perform services and are not the provider of any service booked through the platform. Concerns about the quality, results, or outcome of a service are between the customer and the business that performed it, and should first be raised directly with that business. Deposits are not refundable due to dissatisfaction with services rendered; deposit refunds are governed solely by our cancellation policy.

Customers may report a problem with a booking or business using the in-app "Report an Issue" feature or by contacting support@burgundyblend.com. Reports involving safety, harm, harassment, unsanitary conditions, fraud, or other serious misconduct will be reviewed. At our sole discretion, we may mediate disputes, issue warnings, restrict features, or suspend or remove businesses that violate these Terms or our standards. A pattern of complaints or low ratings may result in review and removal of a business.

Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be brought in the courts located in Alberta, Canada, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
