Your data
Delete your account
You can delete your BurgundyBlend account at any time, from inside the app or by asking us. This page explains both routes and is honest about the one thing we cannot remove.
Deleting it yourself
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
- 1
Open BurgundyBlend and sign in.
- 2
Go to Profile, then Settings.
- 3
Choose Delete account and confirm.
If you cannot get into the app
Uninstalled it, changed phone, or cannot sign in? Email us from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Put “Delete my account” in the subject. We will confirm it is you before deleting anything, and we aim to complete the request within 30 days. If we need to verify your identity we will ask, and we will not ask for a password.
What is removed
- Your sign-in account, so the email and password no longer work.
- Your name, email address, phone number and any contact details on your profile.
- Your saved cards. The payment vault held by Stripe for you is deleted outright.
- Your favourites, saved clips, search history and notification tokens.
- If you run a business: your listing is taken down and every personal and contact detail on it is scrubbed.
- Staff email addresses held for your business, which are deleted outright.
What we keep, and why
Saying “we delete everything” would be simpler and it would not be true. Three things survive, each for a reason we can explain.
Records of bookings that involved money
A booking with a deposit is a financial transaction between you and a business. Both sides need the record for refunds, disputes and tax, and neither side can unilaterally erase the other’s copy. These are kept without your contact details attached.
Reviews you left
A review belongs to the business it was written about as much as to the person who wrote it, and removing them retroactively would misrepresent that business’s history. They stay, detached from your name. Ask us if you want a specific review removed and we will look at it.
A Stripe payout account that has processed money
If your business ever took a payment, Stripe keeps that account for tax and record-keeping and will not allow it to be deleted. A payout account that never processed anything is removed.
